HRAI与安大略省电力部门（OPA）正在合作实施一项为期3年的工程。

    该工程主要涉及提高空调系统的养护水平以及依据Energy Star标准更换相关的旧的设备，并将提供相应的激励政策。其目标是，通过增加每年使用之前经过养护的空调的比例，提高空调设备的能效，降低夏季用电高峰期的耗电量。2006年该工程的第一阶段将集中针对住宅用空调设备。

    加拿大供热制冷与空调协会成立于1968年，属于非赢利性贸易协会，由加拿大暖通制冷行业的生产商、批发商和承包商组成。加拿大供热制冷与空调协会成员公司提供室内舒适与基本制冷处理的产品与服务。

    该协会在加拿大和美国有900个成员，分三个部门：加拿大供热制冷空调生产商部门、批发商和承包商部门。同时，协会也有150多名涉及器械、市政部门、教育机构、咨询人员以及相关贸易组织的成员。

    加拿大供热制冷空调协会的任务是服务加拿大热制冷空调成员与行业，通过协作建立强大的全国性的成员资质，作为行业面向公众的代表，提供优质成员/客户服务，教育培训行业人士。
